Our ground-breaking Inclusive Activity Leaders (IAL) programme is changing lives.
Watch our film and find out why!
IAL trains disabled and non-disabled people side-by-side to qualify as sports coaches and is supported by Nike.
Students undertake a series of classroom and practical sports sessions at London South Bank University to gain either a Level 1 or Level 2 Multi-Sports qualification.
They learn how to adapt activities for disabled people and the course covers everything from first aid to adapted football.
IAL is coached by experienced professionals and disabled students are offered individualised support where needed.
Temi Johnson, who has cerebral palsy, is a programme graduate. He now has a coaching job with our team and travelled to Paris to attend a Nike summit, where he spoke to an audience about his experiences and coached inclusive sport to delegates.
As an IAL graduate, Temi has grown in sport and beyond it. He told us: “I have become more confident and feel able to express myself without feeling nervous.
“I can take on roles that I would not have been able to do before and I face challenges with a positive outlook.”
