Finding the right sports club can feel difficult for many girls. Concerns around confidence, body image and fitting in can stop young people from getting active before they even begin.
For disabled girls, those barriers are often even greater.
That’s why Disability Sports Coach has launched a brand new Girls Club in Wandsworth! It’s a free, inclusive space where disabled girls can move, play sport, make friends and feel comfortable being themselves.
The sessions are fun, welcoming and completely judgement-free. There is no pressure to be “sporty” or experienced. Girls can take part in ways that work for them, build confidence at their own pace and enjoy being active alongside others in a supportive environment.
Girls Club offers a mix of inclusive multi-sport activities designed to be enjoyable, social and accessible for all abilities.
Sessions are open to girls aged 10+ and are delivered by female coaches and volunteers who understand how important it is to create a safe and positive space.
Whether someone wants to try something new, improve confidence, meet people locally or simply have fun after school, everyone is welcome.
When: Thursdays, 4.30pm to 6.00pm

We are also looking for volunteers to help support the sessions.
