We’re thrilled to share that Temi, one of our Inclusive Activity Leaders, performed the coin toss at this year’s Wimbledon Men’s Singles Wheelchair Final.

The match took place on Sunday 13 July on Centre Court, and Temi stepped forward in front of a global audience.
The opportunity came thanks to the Wimbledon Foundation, who invited Temi to represent Disability Sports Coach as part of their commitment to the local community.
Temi has been with us for over six years, starting as a participant and volunteer at one of our Community Clubs. He trained to become a coach through our Inclusive Activity Leaders programme in partnership with Nike. Temi now coaches others each week, helping more disabled people get active and build confidence.
Ahead of the final, Temi visited the All England Club and met Katie Boulter and Jack Draper – Britain’s top-ranked tennis players. The pair were recently named Wimbledon Foundation Champions, recognising their commitment to community sport.
Temi’s mother, Rachel, said: “Disability Sports Coach has really supported Temi throughout. From little things like helping him with his CV, mentoring him, coaching courses, and, most importantly, helping him learn in a way that suits him. They’ve helped him to understand the importance of volunteering and giving back and really supporting your community.”
Temi said the day was “unreal” and that he was “so proud to represent the charity that helped me become who I am today”.
We’re proud too.
Thank you to the Wimbledon Foundation for championing the power of inclusive sport and supporting our mission to ensure disabled people have equal and ample opportunity to lead active lives.
