HEALTH & SAFETY

Facilities

Most organisations prefer to use their own facilities in which case our coaches will risk assess the venue to check its suitability for physical activity. The space available is understandably a critical factor in determining what activities can be undertaken and we will work with our clients to agree what can and can’t be delivered.

For organisations without their own facilities, we are able to book local sports facilities and can sometimes negotiate preferable rates for long-term bookings.

Risk Assessment

For organisations using their own facilities, we ask that a general risk assessment is undertaken to ensure that the venue is suitable for physical activity. At the start of each session, our coach will also carry out a visual inspection to double check that the facility is fit for purpose.

Safeguarding

Disability Sports Coach acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people and at risk adults and is committed to ensuring that safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice within the UK Sport and Leisure sector. Our policies can be found below.
