We were delighted to support the Inclusive Active Together Festival, a free pan-disability inclusive event where local community clubs delivered a range of free sports and activities.
The festival took place at Surrey Docks Watersports and Fitness Centre on Saturday 2nd April. Over 30 disabled people and their families attended the event, including some of our regular members from our Community Club in Southwark.
We delivered a Boccia session at the festival, led by volunteers Theo and Alexander. Other sports on offer included football, boxing, yoga, dodgeball and sailing.
The event was generously funded by Comic Relief and was delivered in collaboration with local partners including Access Sport, Southwark Council, London Sport, London South Bank University and Everyone Active.
Our attendees and volunteers had a great time at the festival, and we are looking forward to the next one!
