At Disability Sports Coach, we often hear from parents and carers about how much of a difference our clubs make to the lives of their children.
Amber is mum to Marley, who is non verbal. They both attended one of our inclusive holiday sports camps held at Poplar Leisure Centre in Tower Hamlets.
The holiday sessions feature multi sports that are adapted for children with all types of disabilities by our specialist coaches.
Amber said of the club: “Today has been absolutely amazing.
“Marley is non-verbal, so it can be hard to know what he feels, but Coach Greer, Coach Anthony and Coach Debbie were so caring and supportive – they met every need. They made sure he was always OK and he was happy to be here!
“As a parent, you worry all the time, but here I can feel calm.
“I learned so much too. I got a free Active at Home guide with lots of little games that I can try with the kids at home. It’s important because it’s so hard to find things to do at half-term.
“I’ll also be taking Marley to Disability Sports Coach’s Community Club in Tower Hamlets. It’s after school and local, so it’s perfect.
“I’ve had an amazing day and my son’s had an amazing day. Thank you so much, Disability Sports Coach.”
