Last week marked the final Club sessions of 2016. All Club participants’ took part in a mini competition and celebrated the term’s achievements.
10 Club participants received ‘DSC Club Champ Award’ trophies for outstanding contribution to their Club this term. In addition, 6 young people recognised as role models within their Clubs were presented with Jack Petchey Young Achiever Awards. Judging by the smiles, these awards truly were an early Christmas present for the winners.
The 6 Jack Petchey winners were from left to right in the picture above, Joshua Arubi (Club Southwark), Mariah Shofoluew (Club Brent), George Keable-Eliot (Club Islington), Wendy Nguyen (Club Tower Hamlets), Emmanuel Dodson (Club Kensington and Chelsea) and Ellie Beard (Club Wandsworth).
These young people have selected sporting outings and new equipment in their favourite sports for their Clubs. Thank you again to The Jack Petchey Foundation for giving us the opportunity to celebrate the inspirational young people in our Clubs.
Thank you to all participants, parents, carers, coaches and volunteers who have made this term the most successful Club term to date. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2016. The Clubs return week commencing 4th January (Club Wandsworth,Westminster and Hillingdon return the following week).
