Disability Sports Coach (DSC) has won the Uniting London Award!
The prestigious award from London Sport is a game-changer for DSC and a huge boost to our work empowering disabled people through sport.
In a glittering ceremony held at London Guildhall, set in the imposing Gothic Great Hall, it was announced that we had scooped the Uniting London Award (March 23).
The award, in association with Sport England, recognises organisations that use physical activity and sport to unite the city’s diverse communities and who embrace difference.
DSC founder Peter Ackred (pictured) said: ‘I am SO immensely proud of what we have achieved.
“This could not be done without our partners/ supporters/ beneficiaries and of course our amazing team past and present!
“Thank you London Sport and Sport England for the recognition and a great evening. Well done to all the nominees and winners you all do amazing work to support a more #ActiveLondon.”
