DSC and Millwall Community coaches delivered Football, Polybat, Boccia and New Age Kurling for Sunshine House and their service users at Bacon’s College on Monday 28th July 2014.
DSC and Millwall joined forces to engage young people with a disability within Southwark to take part in different adapted sports. In the morning participants took part in football skills and drills provided by Millwall Community, and were support by DSC coaches Ryan Jones and Lucy Wright.
A number of young people were able to try adapted sports that they hadn’t experienced before, and they were clearly keen to continue! DSC coach and placement student Ryan said, “It was great to partner up with Millwall Community to deliver these sports for Sunshine House in the community. The participants really enjoyed taking part and all left with a smile on their face!”
