Job Vacancy: DSC Girls’ Club Head Coach

Disability Sports Coach is establishing its first ever girls’ club and we are looking for a super-talented female coach to lead it!

We are excited that the club is being sponsored by Nike who support our vision to create a unique space for young disabled girls to take part in sport. This is more than just a coaching opportunity. It is a chance to be involved in a project from the ground up; to shape a new service and make your mark.

You will have the backing of London’s premier disability sports charity. DSC is a multi-award charity that runs community sports club across the capital and offers UK-wide coaching and training services so that no disabled person is left out of sport.

We are also looking for Guest Coaches to enrich the group by delivering one-off planned sessions.

Location: London Borough of Brent 

Hours (per week) Flexible

Salary: ÂŁ30-30 per hour, dependent on experience

Time: 1.5 hours weekly

Job Purpose

As Head Coach, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality physical activity and sports programmes within our vibrant new club.

Your focus will be on coaching sessions that are not only structured and progressive but also immensely enjoyable for our participants. From dance and movement to yoga and HIT sessions, your creativity and expertise will shine through as you adapt activities to cater to varying abilities among girls aged 11-17.

What we’re looking for

  • Passion for inclusive sports: Enthusiasm for creating exciting opportunities that empower disabled girls and young women aged 11-17 to get active and connect.
  • Hands-on experience: Proven track record in coaching sports for disabled people, showcasing your ability to make a real difference.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills: Charismatic communicator with a knack for delivering captivating and energising sport and activity sessions.
  • Certified coaching expertise: Possession of a CIMPSA accredited coaching qualification, demonstrating your commitment to excellence.
  • Safety-first approach: Up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding certificates, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
  • Community connection: Familiarity with leisure centre or community club environments, ready to dive into our vibrant setting.
  • Safety awareness: Vigilant about health and safety in coaching environments, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
