Community Clubs shortlisted for Club of the Year 2016
Volunteer Wendy Nguyen also recognised for her exceptional dedication to disability sport
We’re delighted to announce we have been nominated for the London Sport Awards 2016, not once but twice, for our outstanding contribution to sport and physical activity in London.
Our Community Clubs programme has been shortlisted for the Club of the Year Award having engaged over 9000 disabled Londoner’s in sport since 2014. The programme received an honourable mention at last years awards, so we’re hoping to go one better in 2016!
In addtion, Wendy Nguyen has also been shortlisted for the Volunteer of the Year Award after showing exceptional dedication to her voluntary roles with us. Wendy currently volunteers at 4 sessions weekly and mentors other volunteers offering guidance and advise to her peers.
We’d like to thank all those who have contributed to the Community Club programme so far and wish Wendy the best of luck for the awards on the 19th January 2017!
