GB Paralympian and Football 7-aside Captain, Jack Rutter and over 50 Community Club members enjoyed a fun-filled day for our South region Community Clubs at The Castle Centre.
Club Lambeth, Club Southwark, Club Wandsworth & Club Sutton as well as local community groups Sutton Mencap, Salmon Youth Centre, George Shearing Youth Centre & Generate were in attendance.
The day started with the chance to try taster sessions in Cricket, Golf, Football and Boccia provided by Surrey Cricket Foundation, The Golf Trust and London FA, whilst DSC club coaches provided Boccia skills and drills.
The afternoon saw our club members test their skills against each other in a friendly Football & Boccia competition. Club Wandsworth, for the 2nd year in a row, were crowded the South Region Champions as they narrowly beat George Shearing Youth Centre to first place!
Thanks to everyone who made it our best sports day yet, as our attention now turns to our Easter Sports Day on the 5th April 2017.
