Fun for all at the Wandsworth Inclusive Sport Festival

Over 50 disabled people, families and carers enjoyed a wide range of inclusive sport this summer, thanks to Enable Leisure and Culture.

Taking place at the George Shearing Centre and organised by Enable Leisure and Culture, local people had the chance to enjoy a range of inclusive activities like boxing. We were delighted to be joined by Aussie Football League Europe, giving participants the chance to try something new!

Andre tried Aussie Rules Football for the first time. He said, ‘It was very good! I learned how to handle the ball, run with the ball and do throwing.’

‘Equality comes in when everyone is taking part, which gives everyone the chance to succeed in life.’

Participants learned about different inclusive activities for disabled people in Wandsworth, including our Community Club, held at Caius House Youth Centre. The club will restart in mid-September – we hope to see you there!
