Fundraisers break barriers to disability sport at Big Half Marathon

Alex (pictured below) is autistic and wants to ensure that other disabled people get the same chances to excel in sport that he’s had.

That’s why on September 3 Alex will be one of 10 fantastic runners taking part in the Vitality The Big Half for Disability Sports Coach. The team will wind its way from mighty Tower Bridge to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich alongside 12,000 others – including legendary Olympian Sir Mo Farah!

Our partners at MI-GSO | PCUBED are gearing up to tackle their 6th Big Half, with Paul, Gloria, Daniel, Ayham Krish and Kevin all gearing to go. Having walked, cycled and hiked their way to raising over £3,000 this year, the team are ready for one final challenge in 2023!

Joining them are Greer-Aylece, Matt, Charlie and Kenny, who have braved the summer rains to get themselves race-ready. Vitally, they are raising awareness of our work so more disabled people can play more sport, more often.

Our runners have already raised over £1,100, helping us deliver more fun, inclusive sports opportunities for disabled people across London. Show your support and join us in wishing the team the very best of luck!
