Great Britain Sitting Volleyball Paralympic Athlete, John Worrall visited Club Islington last Saturday to meet the regular attendees and help deliver a masterclass taster session on the sport.
DSC coaches and specialist sitting volleyball coach were assisted by John to give the participants their first taste of the sport, who also provided the participants with his inspiration story of his Paralympic 2012 journey and how he first got involved.
Participants and parents alike, were all enthused by John’s visit to the Club with a fantastic fun-filled session and the proud patron also enjoyed being part of it, stating “It’s brilliant to be part of such a fantastic day and opportunity for these young adults in the community. Great to see such enthusiastic participants for the sport I love, long may it continue!”
John Worrall is looking to re-visit Club Islington for the Achievement Day to hand out medals and certificates, that goes ahead on the 14th December 2013.
