Mi-GSO | PCUBED and Disability Sports Coach: A partnership making a difference
We’re proud to partner with world-leading project management consultants Mi-GSO | PCUBED. Since 2018, the team have:
– Raised over £20,000 with over 50 of the team taking on fundraising challenges incuding the National Three Peaks Challenge, the Big Half Marathon and John O’Groats to Lands End cycle rides!
– Shared skills and expertise to improve the way we work
– Volunteered to help us deliver vital events like our flagship Summer Festival
Rhodri Cave, Managing Consultant, said, “Since our foundation Mi-GSO | PCUBED has championed sporting activities and events, and our work with Disability Sports Coach is a natural extension of this. We know that sport aids health and wellbeing for all individuals and we are proud to support Disability Sports Coach in their mission to create worthwhile sport and physical activity opportunities that have a positive impact on disabled people’s lives.
We’re proud to raise money to support activities like the Community Clubs, which mean so much to members.”
Peter Ackred, CEO of Disability Sports Coach, said, “We’re proud to have such a long-standing partnership with such a committed group who share our values of empowering people through sport.
The money raised by Mi-GSO | PCUBED since 2018 makes a huge difference, helping us reach over 100 disabled people every year through our local Community Clubs, our free online activity sessions and by providing packs of specialist equipment during lockdowns. We are also hugely grateful for the invaluable time and skills the team shares with us, helping us improve our work so we can reach more disabled people through the power of sport.”
Check out some of the easy ways your team can get involved and make a difference!
If you are holding a Christmas or Summer party, why not include a raffle or auction and donate the funds to Disability Sports Coach?
For all the book worms in your company arrange a book club every 6-8 weeks in the office after work, with a £5 donation to attend.
A quiz night always goes down well in the office and is great for team building. People can be put into teams and donate £5 to attend.
Arrange a computer games tournament for your team to turn a hobby into a fundraising activity! Staff pay a donation to enter.
Arrange a big screen for a sporting event of your choice and provide drinks and snacks in return for a donation to the charity.
If you sometimes experience blue language around the office then set up a fine for each time an obscenity slips out of someone’s mouth.
Another easy way to raise funds is to have a dress down or even a glamour up day where each employee donates to the charity.
A sports themed treasure hunt across London where we could also invite our members to take part. Get a donation from each entry.
Hold your own Bake Off at work. People can pay to enter a cake which can also be sold off. A judging panel can choose the best cake.
Hold a bingo night for your staff. Throw in some dinner and drinks and it’s a great evening out with proceeds going to the charity.
