Here are just a few ways in which you could raise some money. Do let us know about your own fundraising event so that we can give you any advice or publicise the event.
Sell any unwanted items at a car boot sale and donate the proceeds. It’s a great way to declutter your house and to raise money for the charity.
An incredibly difficult task for a chatterbox! Go for a whole day and get sponsored. You might need a pen and paper to get yourself noticed!
If you are lucky enough to have a beautiful garden you could open it up to the local community to come to see it for a donation.
Choose something you enjoy and get sponsored for giving it up for a month. You’ll feel better for it and will raise money at the same time!
Invite the neighbours around for a cake and a chat to raise funds or hold a cake sale at work. Get a judge to decide which one is the best cake.
Dress up in your ball gown and pearls for the day and get sponsored. Get your friends or colleagues to dress up as well!
If you’re a big fan of shows like Strictly Come Dancing, why not hold a special event at your house to watch the final in return for a donation.
Suggest to your neighbours that you can wash their cars for a donation one day. You’re likely to make new friends in your area.
If you already belong to a dance or Zumba class why don’t you see if you could do a sponsored danceathon for a whole day or a weekend.
See if your child’s school supports charities each year and whether they might do a ‘wear your own shoes’ day or sponsored walk to support us
Invite friends for a dinner or BBQ – you could even have a ‘Roving’ dinner party with each course at a different person’s house.
If you play a racket sport then see if your club will hold a tournament to raise funds for us, and as a fun way to bring people together.
If you’re feeling like challenging yourself there are plenty of different running, cycling or walking events where you can get yourself fit and raise vital funds for Disability Sports Coach.
This stunning central London Half Marathon takes in some of the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
This annual ride has now become one of the most popular challenge events of the year.
If you’re lucky enough to have a place, we’d love for you to cycle for us!
Go extreme and tackle a Tough Mudder near you!
Tough Mudder is a series of obstacle and mud runs that will push your physical and mental limits without the pressure of competition.
If you would like to go further afield on your own or in a group, Global Adventures might be for you!
Events include the London to Paris Cycle and the memorable Snowdon Trek!
