We’re really excited to announce a new weekly session, Club Islington Juniors running every Saturday for disabled children aged 5-11 at the Sobell Leisure Centre.
Club Islington Juniors will be available from 10-11am at the Sobell Leisure Centre, Hornsey Road, N7 7NY as an extension to our Community Club Islington. The club will run as a pilot for 6 weeks starting from 11th June until 16th July 2016, and if successful will continue to run permanently.
Those that are 10 or 11 will also have the opportunity to stay and join the older aged club for the remaining two hours with no extra charge.
Michael Bishop, Disability Sports Officer, GLL (Islington) said, “This new session is much needed in the area as there currently aren’t enough activities for younger disabled people. It will be a fun and sociable session for young people with a disability to participate in a wide range of sports outside of school. As well as a way of getting active and playing sport, it will be a way to meet new people and form friendships”
To register, simply turn up on the day and ask for the disability 5-11 multi-sports session at reception. DSC Coaches Jason and Liliana will be present throughout.
