If you like the idea of trying out para-swimming with some of the people who trained the likes of Ellie Simmonds and others, now is your chance, because later this month we are offering an exclusive swimming experience with the Paralympic Department at Swim England!
We have teamed up with Swim England to create a great opportunity for our younger members to enjoy some inclusive swimming coaching in the summer holidays – but you need to book soon to avoid disappointment.
This experience is now taking place on Sunday 29th August 21st from 5:30-7pm at Seven Islands Leisure Centre, 100 Lower Road, London SE16 2TU, and will cost £4. Participants must be between the ages of 8 to 16 years old to join the event.
All swimming sessions will be delivered by qualified swimming instructors who will offer advice on improving technique as well as signposting participants to other regular opportunities to swim at clubs across London.
Swimmers of all abilities can book a place, although one-to-one support in the water will not be provided by the instructors. However, parents and carers are welcome to provide this support if they are competent swimmers.
