4 DSC fundraisers took part in the world’s first inclusive challenge event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
On the 3rd September 2017, #TeamDSC formed of Wendy, Ram, Graham & Theo all conquered the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park course side by side to raise invaluable funds for their local Community Clubs.
Parallel London is the world’s first inclusive challenge event that prides itself on hosting a fully accessible fun run for all ages and abilities. With 5 different events, there was plenty for our fundraiser’s to get stuck into and they did not disappoint!
Theo & Graham were first up taking on the longest distance, 10km. Ram, with his sister Chani, powered through the hilly 5km course whilst Wendy completed the 1km with an almighty burst of energy! With all completing their event, it’s certain to say the day was a huge success and they’ve earned every penny through donations so far.
DSC’s Business Development Manager, Louis Wickett-Padgham said: “Firstly, we are all incredibly proud of each of our members fantastic efforts today at Parallel London. For all of those who have donated or are planning to, every contribution, small or large, will go a long way to ensuring 700 disabled people can continue to access local activities across London.”
Though each member of #TeamDSC may have completed their event, they are still working hard to raise funds to support their local Community Club.
