Summer Festival 101 – Closing Ceremony

Introducing our first closing ceremony featuring a Special Guest Showdown, live performance, awards and inspirational speakers

Amongst other new additions to this year’s Summer Festival (new special guests, new sports and new performances to name a few) we will also be ending the day with some extra special features…

Special Guest Showdown

Unlike previous years, we want our special guests to get stuck in with the action too! So this year we are battling them again each other to see who is the ultimate special guest. In a head to head race to cross the finish line, our special guests will need to be quick, accurate and tactical to complete the tasks ahead to be crowned the Ultimate Special Guest.

Take a look at next week’s article to find out who will be taking part in the showdown!

Live Performance – Natasha Coates, GB Disability Gymnast

If she’s not too tired from competing to be the Ultimate Special Guest, GB Disability Gymnast and 22 British Gold Medallist Natasha Coates will be performing one of her medal worthy performances. Read more about Natasha and her journey through last year’s news story.

Awards Ceremony

We want to recognise all the amazing achievements from our Community Club members, volunteers and coaches over the past year and what better way to do that than in front of everyone involved in the Community Clubs. We will be celebrating 11 Jack Petchey Foundation winners, Club Man and Woman of the Year and runners up, Volunteer of the Year and Outstanding Commitment.

Inspirational Speakers

Not only will our special guests be giving you something to watch, they will also be sharing some of their stories of sport and disability to motivate you to be more active.

Be sure not to miss out on the first closing ceremony by heading over to Court 4 (gymnastics area) at 2.30pm.
