Thanks to the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust, 30 DSC Club members have received tennis equipment packs. The packs aim to give more members from Clubs Southwark and Hounslow access to playing tennis at home or in a park.
The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust is a charity which raises funds for disabled people who play or wish to start playing tennis. They specialise in supporting disabled people and disability tennis programmes and over the years, they have helped hundreds of individuals, clubs and groups to access and provide tennis for disabled people.
The onset of the Covid 19 Pandemic in March 2020 meant that a revision to the original funding plans was required and consequently it was agreed that a proportion of the grant could be used to provide members at Club Hounslow and Club Southwark with their own tennis equipment.
We are hugely grateful to the Trust for their wonderful ongoing support. We look forward to working together and providing more inclusive Tennis opportunities for disabled people in future.
